Calendar Overview

The calendar gives you a visual snapshot of all your upcoming rental bookings and experience sessions in one place. You can switch between rental and experience views, choose different display modes, and filter by category, product, or availability to find exactly what you need.

Accessing the Calendar

  1. Click Calendar in the left sidebar.
  2. You will land on the Rental Calendar by default, showing today's date.

The Calendar page showing the Rentals tab with per-unit availability rows, time-based segments, and the toolbar above.

Switching Between Rental and Experience Views

The calendar supports two distinct views, each designed for a different type of booking:

  • Rental Calendar — Shows your rental products with a proportional time-based grid. Each individually-tracked product displays one row per inventory unit, so you can see exactly which units are booked and when they are available.
  • Experience Calendar — Shows your experience sessions in a list or calendar layout with capacity indicators and guide assignments. Ideal for managing scheduled activities.

Each tab also shows a booking count badge (e.g., "Rentals 5") so you can quickly see how many active bookings exist for the selected date.

To switch views

  1. At the top of the calendar page, click the Rentals or Experiences tab.
  2. The calendar will reload with the appropriate layout for that view.

Choosing a Display Mode

Rental Calendar

The rental calendar always shows a single-day timeline view — the grid displays one day's worth of availability across time. The Week and Month toggles change only the date navigation strip above the grid:

ModeWhat it shows
WeekA seven-day strip with rounded day boxes (e.g., "Mar 31 TUESDAY"). Click any day to load that day's availability.
MonthA scrollable date strip showing all days of the current month. The selected day auto-scrolls into view.

To change the display mode, click Week or Month in the toggle at the top right of the calendar.

Experience Calendar

The experience calendar offers more flexibility with two layout toggles:

  1. List / Calendar icons — Switch between a tabular list layout and a visual calendar grid.
  2. Day / Month — Switch between viewing a single day or the full month.

This gives you four possible combinations: List + Day, List + Month, Calendar + Day, and Calendar + Month. See the Experience Calendar and List View guides for details.

  • Prev/Next arrows — Click the and arrows in the toolbar to step one day backward or forward.
  • Date display — Shows the currently selected date in a readable format (e.g., "Mar 31, 2026"). Click it to open the date picker.
  • Today button — Click Today to jump back to the current date.
  • Day strip — In Week or Month mode, click any day in the strip to load that day's availability. The selected day is highlighted with a dark background.
  • Week arrows — Use the left and right arrows next to the week strip to scroll to the previous or next week.

Filtering the Calendar

Use the filter pills in the toolbar to narrow what the calendar shows:

Rental Calendar filters

  1. Availability — Filter to show only available or unavailable products.
  2. Category — Select a product category to only see items in that group.
  3. Products — Pick a specific product to focus on.
  4. Barcode scanner — Click the barcode icon to scan an item's barcode and filter to that product.

Experience Calendar filters

  1. Availability — Filter by session availability.
  2. Category — Select an experience category.
  3. Guide — Filter to only show sessions assigned to a particular guide.
  4. Experience — Focus on a single experience.

To clear all filters, click Clear filters which appears when any filter is active.

Booking Count Badge

Each tab shows a count badge next to its name (e.g., Rentals 5, Experiences 0) indicating how many bookings exist for the currently selected date. This updates automatically as you navigate between dates.
