Selecting Recipients Growth+This feature requires the Growth+ plan or higher

Choosing who receives your campaign is just as important as what the email says. EquipDash gives you several ways to target the right audience.

Getting to the Recipients Tab

  1. Open a campaign from the Campaigns list (or create a new one).
  2. Click the Recipients tab on the campaign detail page.

Audience Types

The Audience section lets you choose who should receive the campaign. Select from the dropdown:

All Customers

Send the campaign to every customer in your database who has a valid email address.

This is best for broad announcements, seasonal promotions, or business updates that apply to everyone.

Select Specific

Hand-pick individual customers from your database.

  1. Select Select Specific from the dropdown.
  2. Search for customers by name or email.
  3. Select the customers you want to include.

This is useful for small, targeted sends — such as a thank-you to a group of VIP customers or a follow-up to attendees of a specific event.

Filter by Criteria

Target customers based on their booking history or profile. You can filter by:

  • Products — customers who have booked a specific rental product
  • Experiences — customers who have booked a specific experience
  • Date range — customers who booked within a specific period

When you select filters, the criteria are displayed below the dropdown (e.g., "Products: Hardtail Mountain Bike").

Audience Preview

As you configure your audience, the Audience Preview card on the right side updates in real time, showing:

5 recipients will receive this campaign

This gives you an instant count so you can verify your targeting makes sense before sending.

Audience Types Reference

The right side of the page also shows a helpful reference card explaining each option:

Tips

  • Start targeted, then go broad. If you are not sure how a campaign will perform, send to a smaller audience first and see the results before sending to everyone.
  • Check the recipient count before sending. A surprisingly high or low count usually means your filter needs adjusting.
  • Use Filter by Criteria for re-engagement. Target customers who booked a specific product to let them know about related offerings or upgrades.
