Notifications

EquipDash can send you email notifications when important things happen -- a new booking comes in, a payment is received, a rental is overdue, and more. The Notifications settings page lets you control exactly which emails you receive.


Managing Your Notification Preferences

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Select Notifications from the settings menu.
  3. You will see a list of all available notification types, each with a toggle switch.
  4. Turn each notification on or off depending on whether you want to receive that email.
  5. Changes are saved automatically when you toggle a switch.

Available Notification Types

Overdue WorkshopEquipment in the workshop is overdue for completion
Inventory ShortageEquipment sent to workshop may affect upcoming bookings
Voucher SoldA voucher or gift card has been purchased
Survey DetractorA customer gave a low NPS score
Survey ResponseA customer completed a survey
Payment Link SentA payment link was sent to a customer
Refund ProcessedA refund has been issued
Security Deposit HeldA security deposit hold was placed
Security Deposit ReleasedA security deposit was released
Balance Due ReminderA balance due reminder was sent to a customer
Security Deposit ExpiringA security deposit hold is about to expire
Waitlist Spot AvailableA waitlist spot became available and a customer was notified

Setting the Booking Reminder Timing

The Upcoming Booking notification has an additional timing dropdown. Click the dropdown next to the Upcoming Booking toggle to choose: 6 hours before, 12 hours before, 24 hours before (Default), 48 hours before, 72 hours before, or Disabled.


Things to Keep in Mind

  • Notification preferences are per user. Each team member controls their own notification settings.
  • All notifications default to enabled when you first create your account.
  • These notifications are for your team (staff-facing). Customer-facing emails (like booking confirmations sent to customers) are configured under Email Templates.
