Falls Creek Coaching Centre is the resort's primary ski and snowboard school, operating under the Falls Creek Ski Lifts umbrella to deliver structured lessons across every discipline and ability level. With a team of fully certified instructors — many holding APSI Level 3 and international ISIA qualifications — the centre runs one of the most respected lesson programs in the Australian Alps. They cater to complete beginners through to advanced skiers looking to refine technique in moguls, steeps, or racing gates.
Group lessons run daily in two-hour blocks for adults and children, with dedicated meeting points and ability-graded classes that keep group sizes manageable. Private lessons can be booked in one-, two-, or four-hour sessions and are ideal for fast progression or tackling specific weaknesses. The centre also operates specialist programs including a multi-week race training academy, freestyle coaching in the terrain park, adaptive skiing for guests with disabilities, and a popular three-day beginner-to-intermediate fast-track package that bundles lessons with lift passes and rentals.
The coaching centre's strength lies in consistency — their instructor training program is rigorous, and returning guests often request the same coach year after year. The dedicated beginner area at Wombat's Ramble provides a safe, low-traffic environment for first-timers, complete with its own magic carpet lift.
