Sell on Viator Growth+This feature requires the Growth+ plan or higher
Viator is a website where travelers find and book things to do. Once you connect it, Viator sees your times and prices, and every booking made there lands in EquipDash like any other booking.
Viator puts every active experience on sale for you. You don't pick products one by one, and you only switch off the ones you don't want there.
Before you startโ
- You need a Viator supplier account and a contact at Viator. Viator gives you your Viator Supplier ID.
- You need at least one active experience with a price. Nothing goes on Viator without a price.
Set it upโ
Step 1: Open the Viator pageโ
Go to Settings > API & Integrations and click Set Up Viator.

Four steps run across the top of the page. Each one ticks by itself when it is done, and the line under them tells you what comes next.
Step 2: Make your keyโ
Click Make my Viator key. The key is what lets Viator check your times and make bookings for you.

Every active experience with a price now goes on Viator, at the prices you already set.
Step 3: Give Viator your keyโ
Under Your Viator details, click Copy beside Give Viator this key and send it to your Viator contact. Click Reveal if you want to read it first. This step ticks once you copy the key or email it, or once Viator uses it.

Keep the key private. Anyone who has it can book you through Viator.
Step 4: Add your Viator Supplier IDโ
Type the Supplier ID Viator gave you into Your Viator Supplier ID. It saves when you click away from the box.

The quick way to do steps 3 and 4 together is to click Email Viator your details. Your email app opens with your key, your Supplier ID and the Supplier product code of every experience that is ready to sell already in the message. Type your Viator contact's email address and send it.

Only team members who can change integrations see the key and this button.
Step 5: Viator switches you onโ
Nothing to do in EquipDash. Your Viator contact uses the key to connect your account on their side. If they ask which code goes with which experience, the Supplier product codes (EQD-EXP- and a number) are in the email and under Your experiences. This step ticks once Viator starts checking your times.
Step 6: Your first bookingโ
Nothing to do here either. The last step ticks when your first Viator booking arrives. Viator bookings show in Bookings, the calendar and your reports.
Choose what sells on Viatorโ
Your experiences lists every active experience, with its status, its Supplier product code and a switch. The switch is on when the experience is on Viator. Every experience is on Viator unless you switch it off, and new experiences go on by themselves.

| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ready | Nothing is stopping it. |
| Live | Viator has booked it. |
| Switched off | You switched it off. Switch it on to sell it again. |
| Not on Viator: no price yet | Its switch is off because it is not on Viator yet. Give it a price and it goes on by itself. |
| Not offered: you approve each booking | Viator confirms bookings straight away, so an experience where you approve each booking yourself never goes on Viator. It has no switch. |
Fixing problemsโ
Anything that needs you shows in a table near the top of the page, one row per problem, with the fix on the row. A row about more than one experience says which ones in grey, for example All experiences.

| The row says | What to do |
|---|---|
| No price yet, so it is not on Viator | Click Add a price and give the experience a price. It goes on Viator as soon as it has one. |
| Turning down your updates | Viator is refusing the changes you make in EquipDash, so it may keep selling times you have closed. Click Email Viator and ask your contact to check your connection. Bookings you already have are not affected. |
| Some bookings did not go through in the last day | Click Check the connection. If it fails, email your Viator contact. |
The Dash card at the top of your dashboard also counts what is stopping a sale, on Viator and GetYourGuide together. Its button takes you straight to where they are fixed: the experience, or that site's own page.
Check an experienceโ
Open any experience. Its Details tab has a Sold on card with one row for each site you are connected to: the status, its Supplier product code with a copy icon, anything stopping it, and the date of its last booking from that site.

You can also ask Dash, for example "Is anything stopping me selling on Viator?".
Other settingsโ
- Check the connection, beside the email button, tells you whether EquipDash can reach Viator.
- Click Advanced at the bottom of the page for the rarer settings:
- Reseller ID, Destination code and Viator's own key. Fill these in only if Viator gave them to you.
- Take bookings from Viator, Confirm bookings when there is room, Send new times to Viator and Send price changes to Viator. All four start on, and a change saves by itself.
- Make a new key. Your old key stops working straight away, so send the new one to Viator.
- Match an experience by hand, only if Viator asks you to use their own product codes.
- Activity. Click Show to see the recent messages between EquipDash and Viator.

Disconnectingโ
Click Disconnect, then Disconnect again. Viator stops booking you and the bookings you already have stay as they are. If you connect again you get a new key to send to Viator. Your Supplier ID and the other details are kept.
