About Arizona Snowbowl
Arizona Snowbowl is the Southwest's premier ski resort, set on the San Francisco Peaks just 14 miles north of downtown Flagstaff. With a summit elevation of 11,500 feet and a base at 9,300 feet, Snowbowl averages 260 inches of snowfall annually and runs a season that typically stretches from November through late April or early May.
The resort offers 777 acres of skiable terrain across 55 trails served by eight lifts, including a high-speed six-pack chair and a combination gondola-chairlift. On-mountain rental packages cover skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and helmets for adults and children, with gear available from 8:00 am daily. Lessons range from a free Snow Experience class for first-time adult skiers to the Snowburners six-week kids' program.
In summer, Arizona Snowbowl operates its scenic gondola for sightseeing rides to 11,500 feet, where visitors can take in views spanning the Grand Canyon rim, Sedona's red rocks, and the Painted Desert. It is one of the highest-elevation ski resorts in North America and the only lift-served ski area in Arizona.
