About Telluride Adaptive Sports Program
The Telluride Adaptive Sports Program (TASP) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enriching the lives of people with permanent disabilities through year-round recreational opportunities in the San Juan Mountains. Based in the Hotel Madeline Building in Mountain Village, TASP has been providing adaptive skiing, snowboarding, and summer adventure programming at the Telluride Ski Area for decades.
Winter programs run seven days a week from late November through early April and include adaptive alpine ski lessons, snowboard instruction, ski buddies for visually and hearing-impaired athletes, and sit-ski coaching. Summer offerings expand into adaptive mountain biking, paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, and rock climbing, giving participants access to the same world-class terrain that draws able-bodied athletes to Telluride.
TASP's instructors are specially trained in adaptive teaching techniques, and equipment is provided at no additional cost to participants. The program has earned national recognition and is affiliated with Move United (formerly Disabled Sports USA). For visitors with disabilities looking to experience Telluride's mountains, TASP removes barriers and creates genuinely life-changing outdoor experiences.
