About Lake Louise Ski Resort
Lake Louise Ski Resort is one of the largest ski areas in North America, spanning 4,200 acres of skiable terrain across four mountain faces in the heart of Banff National Park. With 164 named runs, 11 lifts, and a summit elevation of 8,650 feet, it draws skiers and snowboarders from around the world for its combination of scale, scenery, and consistent Rocky Mountain snow.
On-mountain rentals are available at the lodge with current-season Salomon and Rossignol equipment in performance and sport tiers. The Snow School offers group and private lessons for all ages, from first-timers to expert-level bump and powder clinics. In summer, the gondola operates for sightseeing, hiking, and wildlife viewing — grizzly bears are regularly spotted from the upper terminal.
Lake Louise regularly wins industry awards for best scenery and is home to men's and women's FIS World Cup downhill races each November. The sheer variety of terrain — from gentle green runs at the base to expert-only chutes on the Back Bowls — means every ability level finds their zone.
