About Hubbard's Marina
Hubbard's Marina has been family owned and operated at John's Pass since 1928, which makes it one of the oldest continuously running fishing operations on Florida's Gulf coast. Based on the boardwalk in Madeira Beach, just north of St. Pete Beach, the marina has grown from a single party boat into a full charter center that was voted the number-one fishing charter in the country in USA Today's 10Best readers' poll.
The fishing menu is the deepest in the region: five-hour half-day trips for snapper, ten- and twelve-hour all-day and night runs for red grouper and amberjack, trophy shark trips, slow-pitch jigging charters, and marathon 39- and 44-hour overnight expeditions far into the Gulf. Beyond fishing, Hubbard's runs dolphin-watching cruises with guaranteed sightings, sunset cruises with complimentary beer and wine, and ferries to Egmont Key and Shell Key. Party boats suit first-timers on a budget, while private charters handle groups of up to 120.
Nearly a century of logged fishing spots is the real asset — captains work reefs, wrecks, and ledges the family has charted across four generations. Rods, bait, and licenses are included on party boats, and the crew fillets the catch at the dock, where a neighboring restaurant will cook it the same day.
