About Goat Mountain Air
Goat Mountain Air is a Girdwood-based flightseeing company offering aerial tours across Southcentral Alaska's most spectacular landscapes. Founded by veteran pilot Matt, the company operates Robinson helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft from Girdwood, providing visitors with a bird's-eye view of glaciers, mountain ranges, and coastal fjords that are otherwise inaccessible by ground.
Their tour menu spans multiple iconic destinations: the Knik Glacier tour passes scenic meadows and the 25-mile-long Knik Glacier flowing from Marcus Baker, the highest peak in the Chugach; the Kenai Fjords route soars over the Harding Icefield and descends to tidewater glaciers; and the Denali flight climbs to 10,000 feet for views of the 20,310-foot summit. Custom charters are available for photography, film support, and private group bookings.
What sets Goat Mountain Air apart is the intimacy of their flights — small aircraft mean window seats for every passenger and direct communication with the pilot, who narrates the geology and wildlife below. Their Girdwood departure point puts guests in the air within minutes, maximising flight time over glaciers rather than commuting from Anchorage.
