About Cape May Whale Watcher
Cape May Whale Watcher has been running whale and dolphin watching cruises out of Cape May Harbor since 1993 and bills itself as New Jersey's number-one marine mammal watch. Operating from the Miss Chris Marina on Wilson Drive, the Stewart family runs some of the largest and fastest whale watching vessels on the Jersey Shore, with wide open decks, climate-controlled cabins, and onboard food and bar service.
Daily sailings include a two-hour dolphin watch around the rips off Cape May Point, a three-hour whale and dolphin watch that heads offshore in search of humpbacks and fin whales, and a popular sunset dolphin cruise. The calendar also fills with specialty sailings — lighthouse cruises, fireworks cruises, wine and brews cruises, and airshow trips — plus private charters for weddings, memorials, and corporate outings.
What sets the operation apart is its Marine Mammal Guarantee: if guests don't see a whale or dolphin on their trip, they receive a free return pass that never expires. Combine that with naturalist narration on every sailing and a stable, spacious ride that suits families with young kids and grandparents alike, and it's easy to see why the boat has stayed a Cape May fixture for over three decades.
