About Box & Ride Barcelona
Box & Ride is a cyclist services hub in Barcelona, on Carrer de València near Sagrada Família, set up for riders flying in and out of Barcelona-El Prat. It was started by a cyclist who travels with his own bike and kept running into the same problem of finding a bike box before a flight. In Barcelona it offers three core services: foldable cardboard bike boxes, storage for bike cases and bags, and bikepacking bag rental.
The bikepacking bag rental is for travelers who bring their own bicycle and want to ride toward Girona, the Costa Brava or their next stage without buying equipment for a single trip. There are two setups: a rackless kit with saddle, handlebar and frame bags, or a pair of rear panniers for a bike that already has a compatible rack. Riders send photos of the bike before booking, and the team confirms the exact kit, its capacity, attachment points, deposit and return terms before payment. Bags are collected and returned at the Barcelona hub by appointment, and their condition is recorded at pickup and return.
The hub also stores empty hard cases, soft bike bags and closed cardboard bike boxes for 1 to 30 days, packs bikes for flights, and supplies protection kits for surfboards and kiteboards. Case storage and bag rental can be booked together for a Fly & Ride trip that starts and ends in Barcelona. Every service is booked online first, and access instructions are shared after booking.
