About Cannons Marina
Cannons Marina is a full-service marina and boat rental operation at 6040 Gulf of Mexico Drive on Longboat Key, marker 33 on the Intracoastal Waterway just north of Sarasota Bay. Long a fixture of the island's boating scene and now operated by the family-owned Ingman Marine group, the marina combines a working dealership and service yard with one of the area's best-regarded rental fleets.
The rental lineup covers center consoles for anglers, deck boats and pontoons for family days on the bay, and runabouts for couples who just want to cruise. Every rental starts with a proper orientation covering local channels, sandbars, and no-wake zones — knowledge that matters in the skinny water between Longboat Key, Jewfish Key, and the passes out to the Gulf.
From the dock, renters are minutes from some of the region's best boating destinations: lunch at the waterfront restaurants of Longboat Pass, shelling on the sandbars north of the bridge, and dolphin-rich runs down Sarasota Bay toward the city skyline.
