About Crosscut Mountain Sports Center
Crosscut Mountain Sports Center is a year-round outdoor recreation hub set on 500 acres in the Bridger Range, just 17 miles north of Bozeman adjacent to Bridger Bowl. The centre provides human-powered recreation, sports training, and outdoor education for all ages and abilities, with a particular focus on Nordic skiing, biathlon, and mountain biking.
In winter, Crosscut offers 45 kilometres of groomed Nordic ski trails, a state-of-the-art biathlon range with 30 targets (plus 12 para biathlon targets), and ski and snowshoe rentals. Their programming includes Nordic ski lessons, biathlon clinics for kids and adults, community races, and youth development camps. In summer the trails convert to mountain biking and hiking routes through forested terrain.
Crosscut has become a nationally recognised training venue — they hosted the US Biathlon Nationals and support athletes training for national and international competition. For recreational visitors, it is one of the best Nordic skiing experiences in Montana, with well-maintained trails, rental gear on-site, and a welcoming community atmosphere that makes it easy to try biathlon or cross-country skiing for the first time.
