About eBikes Bali
eBikes Bali has been running electric bicycle tours through the Ubud countryside since 2016, offering a sweat-free way to explore Bali's rice terraces, Hindu temples, and rural villages. Their base sits just north of Ubud's main road on Jalan Tirta Tawar, and tours head out into the surrounding Petulu and Tegalalang areas where traditional farming life continues largely unchanged.
The fleet consists of quality e-bikes with adjustable pedal assist, so riders can choose how much effort to put in — from full electric cruise to a genuine workout. Routes wind through the iconic Tegalalang rice terraces, past ancient water temples, and through villages where guests stop to meet local craftspeople. Morning and afternoon departures are available, each running about three hours. A knowledgeable local guide accompanies every group, sharing insights into Balinese Hindu culture, irrigation systems, and daily village rituals.
eBikes Bali fills a gap for travellers who want an active cultural experience without the physical demands of a traditional downhill cycling tour. The e-bikes make the terrain accessible to all fitness levels and ages (riders as young as 12 and as old as 71 have completed the tour), and the small group format keeps the experience intimate and unhurried.
