About ESF Val d'Isère
ESF Val d'Isère is the resort's official French ski school, headquartered at the Carrefour des Dolomites with a second office at La Daille. With 400 instructors teaching in more than 13 languages, it is one of the largest ski schools in the Alps and a cornerstone of the Val d'Isère skiing experience for visitors from around the world.
The school runs group courses for children and adults at every level, from first-time beginners on the gentle Front de Neige slopes to expert-level freeride clinics on the Face de Bellevarde. Private lessons are available in alpine skiing, snowboarding, telemark, and ski touring, with off-piste guiding into Val d'Isère's extensive backcountry. Snowshoe walks and cross-country excursions round out the winter programme for non-downhill enthusiasts.
As part of France's national ESF network, the school maintains the highest instructor certification standards in the country. Its location in one of Europe's premier ski resorts — host of countless World Cup races — means students learn on world-class terrain with instructors who possess deep knowledge of every run and hidden powder stash in the Espace Killy ski area.
