About Long Beach Lodge Resort Surf Club
The Surf Club at Long Beach Lodge Resort sits directly on Cox Bay — widely considered one of the best surf beaches in Canada — offering surf lessons, board rentals, and e-bike hire from a beachfront location at 1441 Pacific Rim Highway. It's the only resort-based surf operation in Tofino with direct sand access, meaning you can grab a board and be in the lineup within minutes.
Surf lessons are run by certified instructors on Cox Bay's consistent, sandy-bottom break, suitable for complete beginners through to intermediate surfers looking to progress. Board rentals include soft-tops for learners and performance shortboards and longboards for experienced riders, with wetsuits and boots available in all sizes. The Surf Club also rents a fleet of Norco VLT Scene e-bikes, perfect for exploring the 44-kilometre multi-use path that connects Tofino to Ucluelet or cruising into town for lunch.
The combination of beachfront access, quality gear, and the resort's hospitality infrastructure makes the Surf Club a standout — after a session in the water, you can warm up with a coffee on the lodge's Great Room deck overlooking the same waves you just surfed. It's an experience that ties the adventure directly to the accommodation.
