About Telluride Paragliding
Telluride Paragliding is the only commercially permitted and insured tandem paragliding operation approved to fly from the Telluride Ski Resort. Owner and chief pilot Ryan Taylor has been flying the thermals and ridge lift above the Telluride valley for years, giving passengers a bird's-eye view of Bridal Veil Falls, the box canyon, and the surrounding 13,000-foot peaks.
Tandem flights launch from Milk Run and Gold Hill on the ski resort, with the pilot handling all the technical flying while the passenger simply enjoys the ride. Flights typically last 15 to 30 minutes depending on conditions, and no prior experience is required. They also offer intensive paragliding instruction for those who want to learn to fly solo, progressing from ground handling through supervised ridge soaring.
Morning launches — the company operates from around 7 AM — take advantage of smooth early-day air and soft golden light, making for both a thrilling experience and stunning photos. As the sole permitted operator on the ski resort, Telluride Paragliding has unmatched access to launch sites that other operators cannot use.
