About Thredbo Mountain Bike Park
Thredbo Mountain Bike Park is Australia's premier gravity mountain biking destination, using the resort's ski lifts to shuttle riders and their bikes to the top of the mountain for exhilarating descents through alpine terrain, eucalyptus forest, and purpose-built trails. Operating from late November through April, the bike park transforms Thredbo from a winter ski resort into a world-class mountain biking venue that attracts riders from across Australia and internationally.
The trail network spans over 30 kilometres of purpose-built singletrack ranging from gentle green-rated flow trails suitable for beginners through to black diamond descents with rock gardens, drops, and technical features that challenge expert riders. The Kosciuszko Flow Trail — a 7km descent from the top of the Kosciuszko Express chairlift — is a signature ride. Full-suspension rental bikes are available in adult and junior sizes, along with helmets and body armour.
Thredbo Mountain Bike Park benefits from the resort's significant investment in trail building, with internationally renowned trail designers creating a network that offers genuine variety and progression. The combination of alpine scenery, vertical descent (over 500 metres from top to bottom), and professional trail infrastructure makes this Australia's answer to Whistler's famous bike park.
