About Wild Acadia Camping Resort
Wild Acadia Camping Resort is Downeast Maine's premier family adventure park and campground, located on Route 3 in Trenton just minutes from the entrance to Acadia National Park. What started as a simple campground has grown into a full-scale outdoor recreation destination with an impressive lineup of on-site activities that keep families entertained between trips to the park.
The resort's adventure attractions include an 800-foot zipline, a Forest Walk aerial ropes course with beam crossings, tire swings, net climbs, and zip finishes, a 32-foot climbing wall, slingshot and jumpshot trampolines, two 300-foot waterslides, a sprayground with dumping bucket, a swimming pool, mini-golf, and Water Wars catapult stations. Camping options range from basic tent sites and pull-through RV spots with full hookups to glamping-style accommodations. Day passes are available for visitors who are not staying overnight.
Wild Acadia stands out as the only adventure park of its kind in the Acadia region, filling a niche for active families who want more than hiking and beach time. The ropes course alone offers two hours of challenges suited to both kids and adults, and the zipline delivers a genuine adrenaline rush with views of the surrounding forest. Peak-season activities run from mid-June through Labour Day.
