About Action Adventures
Action Adventures is Crested Butte's longest-running snowmobile and ATV tour operator, with over 37 years of continuous ownership by James and Kim. Based at the foot of Mt. Crested Butte, they offer guided snowmobile tours through some of Colorado's most spectacular alpine backcountry, including the popular Top of the Rockies and High Adventure routes that climb to elevations above 12,000 feet with panoramic views of the Elk Mountains.
In winter, guests choose from half-day and full-day guided snowmobile tours on groomed trails winding through aspen groves and open meadows. Summer brings ATV tours and rentals, with both guided excursions and self-drive options available for exploring the network of old mining roads and mountain passes surrounding Crested Butte. All equipment, helmets, and safety gear are provided, and tours accommodate riders of varying experience levels.
