About Antilco Horseback Riding
Antilco is a dedicated horse-trekking ranch on the rural outskirts of Pucón, established in 1997 and run by a team that lives and breathes the equestrian life of Chile's Araucanía region. Set among farmland and native forest with the Villarrica Volcano on the horizon, Antilco specialises in authentic, well-matched riding experiences using sure-footed Chilean Criollo horses paired carefully to each rider's ability.
The ranch's program ranges from gentle half-day and full-day trail rides for beginners to ambitious multi-day treks of four to fourteen days through Villarrica and Huerquehue National Parks, the Sollipulli Crater, and even full crossings of the Andes into Argentina. Riding clinics and "trail riding for beginners" courses build confidence before longer journeys, while a guesthouse, cabins and campsite let guests combine riding with farm stays, fishing, trekking and optional Spanish lessons.
With nearly three decades of experience and a reputation built on horse welfare and genuine backcountry access, Antilco draws riders from around the world looking for more than a quick pony plod. The emphasis is on real horsemanship and immersive multi-day adventures into terrain most Pucón visitors never reach — a depth of experience that has earned Antilco a loyal international following.
