About Best Chance Too Charters
Best Chance Too is one of Saugatuck's longest-running charter fishing operations, taking anglers out of the Kalamazoo River channel onto Lake Michigan in pursuit of chinook salmon, coho, lake trout, brown trout, and steelhead. The tournament-proven crew has decades of experience reading the big lake and consistently puts fish in the box for groups of all skill levels.
Charters run as half-day and full-day trips aboard a fully rigged sportfishing boat with downriggers, quality rods, and all tackle provided — guests only need a cooler for the catch and a Michigan fishing license, which can be purchased easily. First-timers are welcome, and the crew handles the technical work of setting lines while guests take turns fighting fish.
Trips depart from the docks on Water Street in downtown Saugatuck, minutes from the pier heads. Spring runs target brown trout and coho close to shore, while summer trips chase kings in deeper water, giving the season a changing rhythm from April into September. Group bookings for families, friends, and corporate outings are the bread and butter, and prime summer dates fill early.
