About Bike Glendhu
Bike Glendhu is a purpose-built mountain bike park set on private farmland at Glendhu Bay, just a ten-minute drive from Wanaka town centre. With over 35 kilometres of professionally designed trails winding through tussock-covered hills above Lake Wanaka, the park caters to riders of every ability — from gentle, scenic flow trails for families to technical singletrack and jump lines for experienced riders.
The on-site bike hire fleet includes hardtails, full-suspension trail bikes, and e-MTBs, all maintained to a high standard and fitted on arrival. A shuttle service runs riders to the top of the hill for gravity runs, and coaching sessions are available for those looking to sharpen their skills. After riding, the Velo Cafe and Beer Garden serves local craft beers, wood-fired pizzas, and cabinet food, with a deck overlooking the lake and a mini pump track for kids.
Bike Glendhu's unique selling point is the combination of world-class trail design, jaw-dropping lake and mountain scenery, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The park operates from September through May, and its proximity to Wanaka makes it an easy half-day or full-day outing — no backcountry logistics required, just turn up and ride.
