About Cabo SUP
Cabo SUP was the first stand-up paddleboard club established on Medano Beach, launched in 2009 by Lee and Meredith Vosburgh, a couple who relocated from Montauk, New York, to share their passion for paddle sports in the warm waters of Baja California Sur. Operating from the SUR Beach House venue right on the sand, Cabo SUP offers a laid-back, boutique alternative to the larger watersports operators on the beach. Their focus is on personalised instruction and quality equipment rather than high-volume group tours.
The core offering is stand-up paddleboard rentals by the hour or half-day, with a free lesson included for first-time paddlers. Beyond SUP, Cabo SUP runs guided boat tours to the iconic Arch at Land's End, snorkelling excursions to Pelican Rock, kayak rentals, and wave runner experiences. All equipment is quality gear suited to the typically calm morning conditions on Medano Beach, and the team adjusts recommendations based on wind and swell conditions to ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable session.
The owner-operated feel is what makes Cabo SUP special — Lee and Meredith are often on the beach themselves, greeting guests, adjusting boards, and sharing local knowledge about the best paddle routes and wildlife-spotting opportunities. The SUR Beach House location provides a convenient home base with food, drinks, and shaded seating just steps from the water. For visitors who prefer a relaxed, personalised paddle experience over a crowded group tour, Cabo SUP has been the go-to choice on Medano Beach for over fifteen years.
