About Carrera Sailing Charters
Carrera Sailing Charters is the original sailing charter company in Monterey, operating small-group nature excursions, sunset cruises, and private charters on the bay since 1994. Based at Municipal Wharf II, they put guests aboard a classic sailing vessel where they can participate in sailing or simply sit back and enjoy the scenery of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
Tours are tailored to conditions and guest preferences — on any given trip you might spot humpback whales, sea otters, harbour seals, dolphins, and pelicans while sailing past Cannery Row, Lovers Point, and the kelp forests of Pacific Grove. Private charters accommodate proposals, birthdays, corporate outings, and family celebrations. All skippers are US Coast Guard licensed and vessels meet or exceed Coast Guard safety requirements.
