About DFrost Almugar Surf Shop
DFrost Almugar is a Taghazout institution — a surf shop, board-repair workshop and surf-and-yoga house founded in 2003 by local surfer Mo. Positioned at the Agadir-side entrance to the village, right in front of the mosque, its name means "meeting place" in Berber, a nod to its origins as a gathering spot for the town's early surf community.
The shop rents boards for every skill level through Global Surf Industries distribution, carrying respected brands including Gnaraloo, NSP, Walden, Modern, Haydenshapes, 7S and Zero, and also sells new boards at competitive prices. Its core specialism is surfboard repair, fixing dings and cracks with premium materials imported from Europe twice a year. Retail shelves are stocked with wetsuits, boardshorts, fins, wax, rash guards and sun protection, while the wider DFrost operation adds surf coaching and combined surf, yoga and meditation retreats.
More than two decades of trading have made DFrost Almugar a trusted first stop for surfers arriving in Taghazout. Whether hiring a board for the week, getting a repair turned around fast, or booking a yoga-focused surf retreat, visitors benefit from deep local roots, genuine expertise and a 10% shop discount for staying guests.
