About DU The Wire
DU The Wire operates the longest coastal zipline in the Dubrovnik area — a 900-metre cable that sends riders soaring above the Adriatic Sea just four kilometres south of the Old Town. Based near the village of Dubac on the D8 highway, the zipline launches from a hillside perch and drops riders over pine forests, rocky cliffs, and turquoise water before touching down on a platform overlooking the coast.
The experience takes roughly 60 seconds at speeds that reach up to 65 km/h, and riders can choose a seated harness or the head-first "superman" position for maximum adrenaline. No prior experience is needed — the staff handles all rigging and safety briefings, and the minimum age is just six years old with a parent present. Shuttle transport from Old Town is available, and bus route 10 (Dubrovnik–Cavtat) stops directly at the site.
DU The Wire fills a gap in Dubrovnik's adventure scene, which is otherwise dominated by water-based activities. The panoramic views of the Old Town, Lokrum Island, and the open Adriatic from the launch platform alone make the trip worthwhile. For visitors looking for a quick hit of adrenaline between walking tours and beach days, it delivers a unique perspective on the coastline that no boat tour or cable car can match.
