About Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park
Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park transforms the ski resort into one of Victoria's premier mountain biking destinations during the warmer months, typically operating from late November through to the end of April. Managed by Falls Creek Resort Management, the bike park uses the resort's existing lift infrastructure to shuttle riders to the top of the mountain, where a network of purpose-built trails descends through alpine meadows and mountain ash forests back to the village.
The trail network includes over 40 kilometres of singletrack graded from beginner-friendly green runs to expert-only black diamond descents with rock gardens, drops, and technical root sections. Bike rentals are available at the base, including full-suspension downhill rigs, trail bikes, and e-MTBs, all maintained to a high standard with regular fleet refreshes. Protective gear including full-face helmets, knee pads, and body armour can be hired alongside the bikes. Lift-and-bike combo passes offer the best value for riders planning multiple laps.
The bike park's elevation and alpine setting give it a character unlike any other Australian MTB destination. Trails cut through wildflower meadows in summer and offer panoramic views across the Kiewa Valley and out to the Bogong massif. For less experienced riders, the skills park near the village centre provides a safe environment to practise jumps, berms, and drops before tackling the mountain. The après-ride scene in the village — with several bars and restaurants open through summer — rounds out a genuinely world-class mountain biking experience.
