About Freedive Nusa
Freedive Nusa is a specialist freediving school located on the shores of Nusa Penida island, twelve kilometres east of mainland Bali. Holding dual accreditation as an SSI Freediving Instructor Training Centre and a Molchanovs Instructor Training Centre, the school offers one of the most comprehensive freediving education programmes in Southeast Asia — from introductory try-dives through to instructor-level certifications.
Courses run the full SSI and Molchanovs ladders: Pool Freediver, Level 1 through Level 4 depth courses, instructor training programmes, and specialty clinics in equalization technique, monofin skills, and competitive training. Beyond structured courses, the school organises daily manta ray snorkelling and freediving trips to Nusa Penida's famous Manta Point, where giant oceanic mantas glide through plankton-rich waters just metres below the surface.
The school's location in the village of Ped places it directly on the beach, with deep water access within minutes by boat and some of the clearest visibility in the Bali region. Small class sizes, world-class instructors, and the chance to combine freediving certification with manta ray encounters make Freedive Nusa a bucket-list destination for breath-hold divers from around the world.
