About Gorge Crest Vineyards & E-Bike Tours
Gorge Crest Vineyards & E-Bike Tours operates a unique combination of winery tasting room and electric bike rental from their property along the Hood River Fruit Loop, the scenic 35-mile driving route that winds through the orchards, farms, and vineyards of the Hood River Valley. Their e-bike tour program launched as a way to help visitors experience the Fruit Loop at a leisurely pace, stopping at multiple tasting rooms, farm stands, and viewpoints without worrying about designated drivers.
Their fleet consists of Class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes that make the valley's rolling hills effortless, even for casual cyclists. Guided tours typically cover 15-20 miles over three to four hours, with stops at three to four wineries, a lavender farm, and scenic overlooks of Mount Hood and Mount Adams. Self-guided rentals are also available with a curated map and recommendations. All riders receive a helmet, lock, pannier bag for purchases, and a brief orientation on e-bike controls. Tours run daily from late spring through harvest season in October.
What makes Gorge Crest stand out is the seamless marriage of cycling, wine, and scenery. The Hood River Valley is one of Oregon's most beautiful agricultural landscapes, and experiencing it by e-bike rather than car transforms a standard wine-tasting afternoon into an active, immersive adventure. The e-bikes make the terrain accessible to all fitness levels, and the guided format ensures nobody misses the best stops along the route.
