About Ibiza Horse Valley
Ibiza Horse Valley is an ethical horse sanctuary set in the Es Murta Natural Park in the north of the island, founded in 2010 to rescue and rehabilitate horses saved from abuse and abandonment. Visits are by appointment only, taking guests into a protected valley where a free-roaming herd lives without pressure to perform.
Rather than conventional riding lessons, the sanctuary offers guided experiences centred on connection with the horses: private herd-observation visits, full-day immersions among the free-roaming herd, and individual somatic-therapy sessions in which the horses choose their own level of participation. Its rare natural setting is also available for photoshoots and filming, with proceeds supporting the herd's care.
What makes the Valley distinctive is its rescue-and-rehabilitation ethos: this is not a trekking stable but a countryside experience built around observing and interacting with horses on their own terms, in one of the quieter, greener corners of northern Ibiza. For visitors seeking a slow, nature-led alternative to the island's busier activities, it offers something genuinely different.
