About Inlet Charters
Inlet Charters is a long-standing, family-run Alaskan adventure company based on the Homer Spit, operating since 1991. While its roots are in halibut and salmon fishing, the business has grown into a full-service outfitter offering fishing charters, bear viewing, and sea kayaking across Kachemak Bay and the wider coastal wilderness around Homer.
On the fishing side, Inlet runs Homer halibut charters, salmon charters, and combo trips that pair halibut with salmon or rockfish for a varied day on the water. Beyond fishing, the company flies and ferries guests to see coastal brown bears in the sanctuaries of Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks, including a popular bear-viewing-and-salmon-fishing combo. Its sea kayaking program spans half-day, full-day, and multi-day expeditions for paddlers wanting a deeper backcountry experience in Kachemak Bay State Park.
Inlet Charters stands out for its three-decade track record and the breadth of experiences it can coordinate from a single Homer Spit base. Families and groups appreciate being able to book fishing, wildlife viewing, and paddling through one trusted local operator, with the kind of personal attention that comes from a business that has worked these waters across generations.
