About Madeira Divepoint
Madeira Divepoint is one of the oldest dive centres on the island, established in 1991 at the Pestana Carlton Madeira Hotel in Funchal. As the only PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Dive Resort in Madeira, they hold the highest certification available for a dive operation, reflecting decades of commitment to training, safety, and marine exploration.
Beyond scuba diving, Madeira Divepoint has expanded into a full outdoor adventure hub under the XpointMadeira brand, adding daily kayak tours, mountain bike rentals, and stand-up paddleboarding to their offering. Their dive programme covers everything from beginner Discover Scuba experiences to advanced technical diving, with daily boat departures to Funchal's best sites including the Garajau reserve. Kayak and SUP tours explore the coastline from the hotel's beachfront launch point.
