About Mahay's Jet Boat Adventures
Mahay's Jet Boat Adventures is Talkeetna's original riverboat tour company, running custom-built jet boats up the Susitna, Talkeetna, and Chulitna rivers where they meet at the foot of Main Street. Operating for decades from the town's riverfront dock, Mahay's has introduced generations of visitors to the braided glacial waterways and boreal wilderness surrounding the Denali foothills.
The company offers several guided river tours, including the popular Devil's Canyon Adventure, one of the longest wilderness jet-boat trips in the state, and shorter wildlife and history cruises. Trips typically include guided nature walks, visits to a reconstructed Athabascan encampment and a trapper's cabin, and plenty of chances to spot moose, bald eagles, beavers, and — on clear days — sweeping views of Denali itself. Boats are purpose-built to run the shallow, fast-moving glacial rivers safely.
