Mountain Bike Specialists is Durango's original mountain bike shop, founded in 1988 when the sport was still in its infancy. MBS carries a curated selection of high-performance rental bikes from brands like Santa Cruz, Yeti, and Ibis, all sized and tuned for the specific trails around Durango.
Their rental fleet includes full-suspension trail bikes, cross-country race bikes, and e-mountain bikes, all maintained to race-shop standards. The staff can point riders toward the right trails for their ability — from the flowy singletrack of Horse Gulch and Raider Ridge to the technical challenge of Kennebec Pass or the epic Colorado Trail segments that start right from town.
