About Native Sons Adventures
Native Sons Adventures is Taos's most versatile outdoor outfitter, offering guided experiences across whitewater rafting, mountain biking, fly fishing, and hiking. Operating from the south end of town since the early 1990s, they've become the go-to operation for visitors who want to pack multiple adventure activities into a Taos trip.
On the water, they run the same Rio Grande sections as the dedicated rafting companies — Orilla Verde, Racecourse, and Taos Box — but they also offer guided fly fishing trips on the Rio Grande and its tributaries, where brown and rainbow trout thrive in the cold mountain waters. Their mountain bike programme includes guided rides on the South Boundary Trail, Devisadero Loop, and other classic Taos-area singletrack. All bike trips include quality hardtail or full-suspension rentals.
Native Sons' multi-sport approach means they can build custom itineraries that combine a morning raft trip with an afternoon bike ride or a full day of fishing. Their guides cross-train across disciplines, bringing genuine enthusiasm to whatever activity they're leading. For visitors with limited time who want maximum variety, Native Sons is the most efficient way to experience Taos's outdoor offerings.
