About North Fork Anglers
North Fork Anglers is Cody's original fly shop and guide service, established in 1984 and recognised as one of the longest-operating fishing outfitters in Wyoming. Located on Sheridan Avenue in the heart of downtown Cody, the shop is owned by veteran guide Tim Wade and has spent four decades building a reputation as the authority on the waters between Cody and the east entrance of Yellowstone.
The business runs guided float and wade trips across the North and South Forks of the Shoshone, the main Shoshone River, and into Yellowstone's legendary streams, targeting native Yellowstone cutthroat, rainbow, cuttbow hybrids, and brown trout. Their full-service pro shop stocks rods, reels, fly lines, a deep selection of flies, and Wyoming fishing licenses, and the team handles logistics and shuttles for anglers heading into the park. Trips are tailored to all abilities, from first casts to seasoned fly fishers chasing trophy water.
What sets North Fork Anglers apart is institutional knowledge — guides who have fished this drainage for years and rate the North Fork among the top rivers in the northern Rockies. Beyond guided days, they offer instruction, gear advice, and up-to-the-day water reports, making the shop a genuine hub for the Cody fly-fishing community and a reliable starting point for any Yellowstone-bound angler.
