About Scenic Air
Scenic Air operates scenic airplane flights from the Reichenbach airfield near Meiringen, offering aerial tours over the Jungfrau region, Interlaken, and the Bernese Alps. Their fleet of single-engine aircraft seats up to three passengers per flight, giving everyone a window seat and an unobstructed view of glaciers, alpine lakes, and the iconic Eiger North Face from above.
Flight options range from a 25-minute introductory tour circling Interlaken and the twin lakes to a 55-minute grand tour that crosses over the Aletsch Glacier — the longest ice stream in the Alps — and circles the summits of the Mönch, Jungfrau, and Finsteraarhorn. Flights depart on demand year-round with a minimum of two passengers, and private charters for special occasions like proposals or photography sessions can be arranged. No booking deposit is required; payment is made at the airfield on the day.
Scenic Air fills a unique niche in the Interlaken adventure scene — it is one of the few operators offering fixed-wing scenic flights rather than helicopter tours or paragliding. The slower pace and higher cruising altitude of an airplane provide a different perspective on the landscape, with more time to absorb the scale of the mountains. Pilots double as knowledgeable guides, narrating the geology and history of the peaks below.
