About Silver Mountain Resort
Silver Mountain Resort is a four-season destination in Kellogg, Idaho — about 45 minutes east of Coeur d'Alene on I-90 — anchored by North America's longest single-stage gondola, which whisks skiers and bikers 3,400 vertical feet from the village to the summit. In winter, the resort offers over 1,600 skiable acres across 73 runs served by six lifts, with annual snowfall averaging over 300 inches of light Inland Northwest powder.
The on-mountain rental and demo centre stocks the latest Rossignol ski and snowboard packages, and the resort runs a full ski and snowboard school with group and private lessons for all ages. Come summer, Silver Mountain transforms into one of the top-rated bike parks in the Pacific Northwest, with lift-accessed downhill trails, a progressive skills park, and a rental fleet of downhill and trail bikes plus helmets and armour. Pavement bikes are available for the 72-mile Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, which runs right past the base village.
Beyond skiing and biking, the resort houses an indoor waterpark, zipline tours, and base-area lodging, making it a natural hub for families spending a few days in the region. It has been voted the top bike park in the Northwest four years running, and its combination of affordable lift tickets, short lift lines, and genuine Inland Northwest hospitality draws riders and skiers from Spokane, Boise, and beyond.
