About Snow Farm
Snow Farm is New Zealand's only cross-country ski area, run by the Pisa Alpine Charitable Trust off 2127 Cardrona Valley Road. The access road leaves the valley about 200 m from the Cardrona turnoff and climbs 13 km of gravel, 33 km and about 40 minutes from Wanaka.
In winter it hires Salomon and Rossignol classic and skate skis, boots and poles, snowshoes, pulks, winter boots, jackets and snow pants, and tubes for the Snow Fun Zone. It runs lessons and books four alpine huts, and rentals go back by 4pm each day.
From December to April the trails open for hiking and biking in the Pisa Range. Bookings are made online.
