About Tamarack Resort
Tamarack Resort is America's only ski, golf, and lake resort, spread across 3,500 acres along the shores of Lake Cascade in Donnelly, just 20 minutes south of McCall. Originally opened in 2004, the resort has undergone significant investment and expansion, establishing itself as a true four-season destination with 2,800 vertical feet of skiable terrain, a championship golf course, and a full-service marina on Idaho's third-largest lake.
Winter brings 1,610 acres of lift-accessed skiing and snowboarding across terrain suited to beginners and experts alike, with an on-mountain rental shop stocking basic through performance-level ski and snowboard packages. Summer transforms the mountain into an award-winning mountain bike park with lift-accessed trails, plus zipline canopy tours, scenic chairlift rides, and guided hiking. Down at the marina, guests can rent pontoon boats, ski boats, jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards, and even try e-foiling and wake surfing.
Tamarack stands out for its sheer breadth of activities under one resort umbrella — guests can ski powder in the morning, soak in the hot tub at lunch, and tee off on a Donald Knott-designed golf course by afternoon. The resort's village offers slope-side condominiums, luxury chalets, and multiple dining venues, making it a self-contained adventure base camp for families and groups exploring the McCall region.
