About Brundage Mountain Resort
Brundage Mountain Resort is McCall's premier ski destination, located just eight miles northwest of downtown in the heart of the Payette National Forest. First opening its lifts in November 1961, Brundage has grown into one of Idaho's most beloved ski areas, famous for receiving over 320 inches of annual snowfall at its base and offering some of the driest, lightest powder in the Pacific Northwest.
Winter visitors can choose from 1,920 acres of lift-accessed terrain across 52 runs, plus snowcat skiing on an additional 18,000 acres of backcountry bowls, glades, and steeps. The resort's new Mountain Adventure Center houses a full rental shop with basic, sport, and performance demo packages for skis and snowboards. In summer, Brundage transforms into a mountain biking hub with lift-accessed trails, plus disc golf, scenic chairlift rides, and hiking.
What sets Brundage apart is the combination of massive snowfall, uncrowded slopes, and genuine small-town hospitality that larger corporate resorts can't match. Their snowcat skiing program has been running since the early 1990s, offering 8,000 to 12,000 vertical feet per day with expert guides, fat-ski demos, and a catered yurt lunch at elevation. For families and advanced riders alike, Brundage delivers a world-class Idaho experience without the lift lines.
