About Williams Party Boats
Williams Party Boats is a historic deep sea fishing charter operation running out of Pier 19 on Galveston's working waterfront. Operating since 1946, it is one of the oldest and most established party boat fishing businesses on the Texas Gulf Coast, with generations of the Williams family putting anglers on fish out of Galveston. The fleet of large, stable party boats makes offshore fishing accessible to everyone from first-timers to seasoned saltwater anglers.
Their trips span a wide range of distances and durations. Shorter four-hour runs fish the Galveston jetties and nearshore spots within a few miles of land, ideal for families and casual anglers. All-day and overnight charters travel dozens of miles offshore to reefs, structures, and rigs to bottom-fish for snapper, grouper, and more, while their long-range 36-hour tuna trips reach deep water for pelagic species. Rod rentals, bait, tackle, and licensed, experienced captains and crew come standard, so visitors can simply show up and fish.
What makes Williams Party Boats remarkable is its sheer longevity and Gulf pedigree — nearly eight decades of running charters out of the same Galveston waterfront. The operation is captained by experienced, multi-generational crews who know the offshore grounds intimately, including one of the few female party boat captains working the Gulf. For a true Galveston deep sea fishing experience with deep roots, Williams Party Boats is a Pier 19 institution.
