About Windswell Kitesurfing & SUP
Windswell is the South West's dedicated kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboard centre, operating from Geographe Bay near Busselton — just 30 minutes from Margaret River town. They offer IKO-certified kitesurfing lessons, SUP hire and instruction, and wing foiling experiences on the sheltered, flat waters of Geographe Bay that provide ideal learning conditions year-round.
Their kitesurfing school runs courses from 2-hour discovery sessions through to multi-day learn-to-kite packages, with all equipment included and small instructor-to-student ratios that ensure rapid progression. SUP boards are available for casual hire by the hour or half-day, and their guided SUP tours explore the stunning coastline and river systems of the region. Wing foiling — the latest watersport craze — is also available with dedicated equipment and instruction.
Windswell's location on Geographe Bay is a deliberate choice — the bay's protection from the powerful Indian Ocean swells creates butter-flat water with consistent thermal winds, making it the safest and most reliable spot in the South West for learning wind-powered watersports.
