About Zephyr Cove Resort
Zephyr Cove Resort sits on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe along Highway 50, occupying one of the most scenic stretches of shoreline in the basin. Operating on National Forest land, the resort combines a full-service marina, sandy beach, campground, and lodge into a year-round outdoor recreation hub that has drawn visitors for decades.
The marina rents ski boats, pontoon boats, jet skis, kayaks, and paddleboards by the hour or half-day, with staff available to help first-timers get comfortable on the water. Zephyr Cove is also the home port for the M.S. Dixie II, a 520-passenger paddle wheeler that runs daily sightseeing and sunset dinner cruises across the lake to Emerald Bay. In winter, the resort offers snowmobile tours through the surrounding forest and horseback riding in warmer months.
The combination of marina, beach, cruises, and land-based adventures under one operation makes Zephyr Cove unlike any other rental provider on the lake. Families can spend an entire day here without moving their car — renting a boat in the morning, lounging on the beach at midday, and boarding an evening cruise. Their location on the quieter east shore means less crowding than the south shore marinas.
