About Abseil Africa
Abseil Africa is Cape Town's original Table Mountain abseiling operator, offering guided adventures off the sheer face of one of the world's most iconic landmarks. Operating seven days a week from the summit, the company provides a 112-metre controlled descent down Table Mountain's front face — the world's highest commercial abseil — with sweeping views over Camps Bay, the Twelve Apostles, and the Atlantic seaboard stretching to the horizon.
Beyond abseiling, Abseil Africa runs canyoning, cliff jumping, and guided hiking experiences across the Western Cape. Their half-day canyoning trips follow steep gorges with rappelling segments, rock slides, and natural pools, while cliff jumping sessions take place at hidden coastal spots along the peninsula. All gear is provided and no previous experience is required for any of their activities.
What sets Abseil Africa apart is the sheer scale of the Table Mountain abseil itself — stepping backward off a 1,000-metre summit is an experience few operators anywhere in the world can match. Their guides are fully qualified with years of rope-work experience, and the company has maintained a spotless safety record since inception. It is consistently rated as one of the top adrenaline experiences in Cape Town.
