About Alaskan Aventure
Alaskan Aventure is a family-run dog sledding operation located in Arundel, just 22 minutes from the Mont-Tremblant ski resort. Founded by mushers Maxim and Sonia, the company raises and trains its own team of Alaskan huskies and offers some of the most authentic dog sled experiences in the Laurentians — far removed from the tourist-heavy resort operations.
The signature experience is a 2.5-hour winter adventure that begins with an introduction to the dogs, hands-on participation in harnessing the teams, a brief driving lesson, and then a guided run through snow-covered forest trails with stunning mountain views. Guests take turns driving their own sled or riding as passengers. In summer, the operation pivots to guided hikes with the sled dogs, giving visitors a chance to bond with the animals on Laurentian trails.
What makes Alaskan Aventure stand out is the intimacy and authenticity of the experience. Groups are kept small, and Maxim and Sonia personally lead every outing, sharing stories about the dogs and the mushing lifestyle. TripAdvisor reviews consistently rate it among the top attractions in the Tremblant area, with visitors praising the genuine passion of the owners and the quality of the interaction with the dogs.
