About Anadyr Adventures
Anadyr Adventures is Valdez's original sea kayaking outfitter, guiding paddlers on Prince William Sound since 1989 from its base at 225 N Harbor Dr, steps from the small boat harbor. Over three decades the company has built an unmatched knowledge of the fjords, glaciers, and wildlife corridors within reach of Valdez Arm.
Day trips suit complete beginners: guided paddles to Duck Flats and Gold Creek, and water-taxi-assisted outings to Shoup Glacier and the iceberg fields of Columbia Bay, where kayakers glide among floating ice with a naturalist guide. Multi-day expeditions push deeper into the Sound with camp-based itineraries, while lodge-based options add hot showers and beds between paddling days. Stable double kayaks, dry gear, and full safety briefings are provided, and guides handle navigation, tides, and camp logistics throughout.
As the longest-established kayak operation in town, Anadyr's guides are seasoned naturalists who time routes around tides, calving ice, and wildlife activity. The company's range — from a half-day paddle to a week-long wilderness expedition — makes it the natural first call for anyone who wants to see the Sound from water level.
