AVA Rafting & Zipline, operated by Arkansas Valley Adventures, has run outdoor trips across Colorado since 1998, with its flagship whitewater operation on the Arkansas River in Buena Vista. From an outpost on South Main Street and a mountaintop adventure park on Highway 24, AVA has grown into one of the state's largest multi-activity outfitters while keeping its roots in Arkansas Valley rafting.
On the water, AVA guides mild Class II family floats through the big Class IV-V rapids of Browns Canyon and the Numbers. Off the water, its Buena Vista adventure park features a mountaintop zipline circuit and a via ferrata climbing route with sweeping views of the Collegiate Peaks and Continental Divide. The company also arranges rock climbing, off-road rentals, fly fishing and multi-adventure packages that string several activities into a single day.
